  • Raised and educated in Minnesota. Graduated with a degree in Geography from Gustavus Adolphus College (1990)

  • Began working as a graphic designer in Minneapolis and then moved to New York City. Continued working as a freelance graphic designer (1993)

  • Moved to Chicago and freelanced until landing at Eire Direct Marketing, becoming full-time (1995)

  • Worked for Eire for 23 years , starting at Production Designer and working up to Associate Creative Director. Was responsible for designing and managing a wide-range of projects that included identity/branding systems, websites and email advertising, printed collateral pieces such as sales and point-of-purchase materials, and various direct mail packages

  • Married longtime partner Jim (2013)

  • Began a vacation rental business with husband in South Haven (2013). Currently have three up-scale rental properties that vary in size and price points

  • ​Earned a Garden Design Certificate from the Chicago Botanic Garden. Twenty-four classes and 24 credit hours of electives that range from botany to plant identification to garden design and implementation

  • Currently divide time between Palm Springs, California and South Haven, Michigan

  • Currently accepting freelance projects in graphic, garden, and interior design
